HAROLD stops for a chat with founder and CEO of Brad’s Raw Foods, Brad Gruno.
HAROLD wants to know…
H: One luxury item you couldn’t live without?
BG: With my busy lifestyle, I’ve really come to enjoy a relaxing massage.
H: Fall/Winter travel destination(s)?
BG: I go to Georgia every Fall to visit my dad and family for Thanksgiving.
H: Favorite place to hang out in your city?
BG: My main office, “The Chip Factory.” It’s a really great space; there’s a full juice bar, frequent events, and a lot of interesting people always around. I also enjoy going to Starbucks for a green tea. It’s nice to go there and relax.
H: Current reads?
BG: I’ve been reading over the manuscript for my book a lot recently. It’s a 60-day meal plan that will lead readers through a lifestyle transition period, raw food cleanse, and finally a transition out. It’s coming out in January 2014, so I have been putting on the final touches.
H: Your quintessential fall/winter fashion look?
BG: Jeans and a sweater or plaid shirt.
H: What’s hanging on your walls?
BG: Kale! Just kidding. Mostly photos of family and places I’ve travelled.
H: Who’s your favorite designer?
BG: Ralph Lauren or True Religion.
H: What’s the coolest place you’ve jet-setted to?
BG: I’m a big fan of both Australia and Italy. They’re very different places, but with equally cool things to do.
H: Do you have a man-bag? What might we find inside?
BG: I always have my business/laptop bag with me. Inside you would find my laptop, iPad, and probably even a green smoothie.
H: Who is your style icon?
BG: Harrison Ford… minus the Indiana Jones outfit of course.
H: Best movie of all time?
BG: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a favorite classic, especially with the popular line: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” It might sound cliché, but there’s so much truth behind that quote.
H: What’s your grooming regime? Any tips you can share?
BG: I swear by Dr. Bronner’s products. I try to use only all natural products on my skin, and I’d encourage others to do the same.
H: Ultimate splurge item?
BG: I’m guilty of splurging on great fitting designer jeans.
H: What scent elevates your happiness?
BG: Thieves essential oils, and I also love the smell of sage.
H: Hotel you recommend to traveling friends?
BG: I like to find really great boutique hotels.
